Instructional courses cover humanities, sciences and mathematics,
and multi-disciplinary courses. Every student selects three courses and
has a recreational period. Each class meets five times a week for 90 minutes
each. Courses are taught at levels appropriately challenging for academically
gifted students in Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Instructional Strategies
The teaching staff employs strategies that
have proven to be particularly effective in stimulating the interests
and abilities of academically gifted students. In addition to traditional
methods, such as direct instruction and question and answer sessions,
instructors use hands-on methods of learning that promote active participation,
creativity and higher order thinking skills. Such strategies may include
debate, construction of models, simulations, legal briefs, demonstrations,
problem-based learning and project-based learning.
