The Summer Institute for the Gifted is pleased to
announce that the American International
Group, Inc. (AIG), for the second year in a row, will generously
provide over 50 full scholarships to academically
advanced students in grades 4 through 11 from families
with limited incomes to attend a three-week SIG program
at selected campuses.
To qualify for the AIG Scholarship to SIG, students
must score at the 95th percentile or above on any
nationally standardized test or sub-test. If no testing
is available or if test scores are slightly lower
than the 95th percentile, students may submit grades
and recommendations as alternative evidence of their
giftedness. Students must qualify for free or reduced-fee
lunch at their schools to be eligible for the scholarship.
Students must submit all application materials by
April 15, 2008.
Selected students will be notified of their status
by May 15, 2008. Please use the SIG Financial Assistance
Application to apply for an AIG scholarship.
